Homologate your baccalaureate

In the process of recognition of foreign baccalaureate degrees in Spain, two different routes are offered depending on the individual objectives.

  • Convalidation: Recognition of foreign studies allowing the continuation of education in Spain.
  • Homologation: Applicable to degrees, diplomas or studies. It assumes the equivalence of these with those of the current Spanish educational system.

The nature of the degree recognition process may vary from case to case, as there are many requirements that regulate it.   • Official validity of studies and degrees in the country of origin.
  • If the educational center is foreign but located in Spain, it must be authorized by the Spanish Educational Administration
  • It is required that there is an adequate academic correspondence in terms of duration and content of the foreign studies, in relation to the degree or studies of reference in Spain.
  • It is essential that the studies that have been carried out abroad have been completed entirely within the educational system of the respective nation. The validation of specific subjects will not be taken into account.
  • Studies already obtained in Spain will not be homologated.
